Bringing clean
energy to Waddington

Producing low-cost and reliable clean energy for Waddington.

About the Project

The Waddington Solar project is proposed to be located at 2800 State Highway 345 in the Town of Waddington, New York. The project is actively being reviewed by the Town as we finalize the engineering design and site layout.

This project is a community solar project, with no battery energy storage systems planned or proposed as part of this project. The project will generate electricity directly from solar panels and send that power to the local grid.

The Project will generate clean, renewable power while reducing greenhouse gas emissions that impact the health of New Yorkers. It will create local jobs, attract millions of dollars in private investment, protect area flora and fauna, and provide reliable, long-term income for participating landowners—helping them preserve their land for future generations.

We are advancing the project through a phased development approach and working closely with the Town of Waddington as we move through the local permitting process.

Why Solar?

Lower Energy Costs

Solar power is a reliable, fixed-cost energy source that strengthens America’s energy mix and helps lower energy costs for the long term.

Thoughtful Design

Solar farms are quiet, low-impact neighbors. With thoughtful design, they remain out of sight and sound for nearby residents. Long-term land management plans can also boost biodiversity, supporting local wildlife.

Economic Benefits

Beyond environmental benefits, solar farms contribute to rural economies—creating jobs, generating significant local revenue, and providing stable, supplemental income for landowners.

Clean Energy

The Project will provide a clean, renewable source of energy that will reduce carbon dioxide emissions and help achieve New York’s Climate Act goal of 70% renewable energy by 2030.
